From a very young age, all I wanted to do was paint. My earliest memories from my childhood would be me with a paintbrush in my hand, either at pre-school/nursery or in my family home’s kitchen.
When I was only 6 years old, my mother enrolled me at Art school. She saw the passion I had for art and the potential in both my paintings and imagination, as well as the paint on the walls! I continued to excel at Art studies throughout my school years, hosting exhibitions and winning competition in my home town of Boleslawiec in Poland.
After travelling the world and having reached the ripe old age of 19 years old, I finally moved to London and began working in the medical field as an aesthetic therapist. This gave me the opportunity of meeting many people from all walks of life, thus starting my fascination of people, how they looked, how they acted and how they lead their lives. Furthermore this gave me the inspiration to paint even more!
The success in earlier competitions was never the driving force or motivation when it comes to my paintings. I draw and paint because I love it and I love the way it makes me feel. It relaxes and calms my soul (along with most other people I imagine). Discovering inspiration in the people I meet excites me too and has helped me hone my own style and direction.
My paintings are my interpretation of expressions with a lot of focus on the face. I have managed to create a common theme and style along with my constant choice of bright, vibrant colours. Faces offer a plethora of expressions that usually result in personality shining through. My paintings have vibrancy and personality to excite and engage their audience and are a true reflection of the artist.
